All 5 NYC helicopter heliports compared

NYC helicopter sightseeing operates from five physical heliports across three regions. The Downtown Manhattan Heliport (JRB, Pier 6) is the only one inside New York City. It is the fastest to reach by subway, but it charges a $40 per-person facility fee at check-in and is closed on Sundays. Three New Jersey heliports cover the evening, weekend and specialty traffic: Linden (LDJ) is HeliNY's NJ base, Caldwell (CDW Essex County) is shared by Zip and Charm, and Kearny is the doors-off photo-flight hub for FlyNYON and Fly Hummingbyrd. All three NJ sites run seven days a week, charge no separate fee and offer free parking, but require 30–70 minutes by car (public transit is limited). Westchester County Airport (HPN) is Wings Air's exclusive base in the north and the only NYC-area heliport reachable in 35 minutes by Metro-North train.
