The remaining three operators serve specific niches: Wings Air flies private charters from Westchester County Airport (no heliport fee, three aircraft types), FlyNYON is the only NYC operator for doors-off photo flights from Kearny NJ, and Fly Hummingbyrd is the doors-on alternative from the same Kearny field. When to fly: seasonal notes

April to October is high season — best weather, longest daylight, all tours running daily except Sundays at Downtown Manhattan Heliport (the JRB Sunday closure affects only Manhattan departures; New Jersey heliports run seven days). Sunset tours peak in summer when golden hour lasts longest and lands at a friendly evening time slot; in winter the sunset slot is at 4:30pm. Fall foliage runs roughly October 5 to November 5 from Westchester and New Jersey — peak color depends on the year. Doors-off photo flights have a "warmer is better" pattern for comfort but operate year-round; below 50°F the open door is intense and the operator may require additional layers.
